Alies rugby players were taken to the Toyota Freestate stadium

Rugby cheetahs

On Saturday 24 August 2019 the Alies rugby players were taken to the Toyota Freestate stadium to watch the match between the Cheetahs and WP. We arrived early in Bloemfontein and set up a couple of braais next to the stadium so the players could enjoy the tintelating atmosphere and a delicious lunch. After everybody had been fed we moved on into the stadium where we were treated to a very intense match. The Cheetahs were trailing by 19 points and had yet to put points on the board. The Cheetahs came back to win the match and secure a home semifinal winning the match 38 – 33. The ANHS players were very excited on the way home and couldn't stop talking about the day.

It was a great way to end the rugby season and to thank the players for their dedication throughout the year.

A big thank you goes out to the Freestate referee association for providing the school with the tickets.
